Dealing with Difficult Employees

 

This is a rather hard question for me to answer from personal experience because I have never encounter a "difficult" staff member when dealing with SD.  However, I have heard staff members complain about having to participate in SD days.  The biggest problem is that teachers often do not see the relevancy of the activities presented.

 

Today however, we had a wonderful session on best practices.  First, we broke up into 5 groups.  Each group went to a station.  Then, the facilitator asked us questions.  For example, "What are some practices that you see from your fellow staff members that are exemplary?"  Each station had a different question and everyone had a chance to voice their opinions on the different topics.  The notes taken from these twenty minute sessions will be typed and distributed to the staff.
